Searching for information

The Search button allows you to type in whatever you are looking for. It will search of the whole site and return every entry containing the text you have searched for.

The top of each page on the website includes a blue menu bar:
  • The Switch on Shropshire logo top left of the site will take you back to the top level home page
  • The Home button will take you back to the top level home page from which you can perhaps try a different avenue of exploration
  • The About SOS button takes you to an introduction about Switch on Shropshire and a list of key partnerships involved in the project
  • The Why Broadband? button takes you to information about Broadband and a list of frequently asked questions, i.e. What is ADSL? How fast is it?
  • The News button takes you to all our latest Switch on Shropshire project information and news, regional news, technology news and product news
  • The Press Centre button takes you to our Press Centre which has press releases and images. This is a registered area only accessible by members of the Press
  • The Contact button takes you to our contact details


Beneath this menu bar is a green menu bar:
  • The For Business button will take you to the Business area of the Switch on Shropshire project. Ideal if you are a business interested in Switch on Shropshire funding
  • The For Communities button will take you the Community section of the website where you will find information about Shropshire Broadplaces, how to become a Broadplace, where they are etc
  • The For Residents button will take you to the Residents area where you can find a link to see how you can benefit from and whether you are able to receive broadband
  • The For Broadband Suppliers button is for companies or people who supply broadband services and products, or wish to supply these to the local community
  • The Site Map button is where you can see all the pages contained on the website at a glance

  • The Logo buttons to the left and at the bottom of each page take you to information about each partner of Switch on Shropshire ie. Shropshire County Council, Business Link, Advantage West Midlands
  • The Terms & conditions button takes you to the conditions you agree to when you use Switch on Shropshire. It includes a disclaimer, copyright and privacy policy
  • The Privacy policy button takes you to the standards of service you can expect from us when handling your personal data
  • The Help button takes you back to our help index page where you can find out how to change font size, print pages etc
