Speed Dating to match Service Providers with Community Spaces
Date: 28 April 2005
| Shropshire Education and Conference Centre, Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Friday 6th May 2005 The Community Council of Shropshire and Switch on Shropshire have organised a free event on Friday 6 May at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Conference Centre. The aim is to match Shropshire service providers with the wide range of flexible community spaces to host meetings and events. Across the county the community venues range from village halls to pubs and tea shops. The event will enable service providers across the public, community and voluntary sectors to meet the managers of village halls, rural pubs, church halls and the network of Switch on Shropshire Broadplaces with high speed broadband connections and the latest presentation equipment to explore how they can work together. The event will give practical advice to staff from service providers to establish outreach services in rural areas and explore the creation of a brokering service for increased awareness and the use of the network of community venues. The event is free to attend, 50 participants are already booked but places are still available. Anyone interested in attending should contact: Joy Howells on 01743 237875 joy.howells@shropshire-rcc.org.uk |
